When Matt heard that the pond was drying up and we were unable to water the field crops he took matters into his own hands....and responded by bringing us 15,000 gallons of water!
Be sure to your bring your boxes back each week, it helps keep the cost down for the farm, and you are recycling! The wax boxes should be good for the whole growing season. Another plus!
What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
It is fresher than anything in the supermarket and that means it is tastier and more nutritious. It is also good for the local economy--buying directly from family farmer helps them stay in business.
- A CSA is a partnership between a farm and a community of supporters directly connecting the farmer who grows the food with the consumer who eats it
- A CSA provides a one-on-one trusting relationship that no amount of labeling or marketing can supply
- A CSA shareholder covers the farm's operating costs by purchasing a share of the season's harvest and receives a weekly box of produce throughout the growing season.
- A CSA subscription decreases the dependence on imported food, creates a sustainable, regional food system, and provides you with great organic food at a fair price.
